Best known as 'the taxi driver' from Sunderland 'Til I Die, Peter Farrer is Sunderland born and bred.
Now he's retired he enjoys nothing more than spending time outdoors in the city, whether that's 18 holes at Houghton-le-Spring Golf Club, enjoying one of the city's parks or a walk down Sunderland's stunning coastline.
"My favourite place is the beach at Roker and Seaburn, it's beautiful, there's sand for about four miles," said Peter. "There are cafes, restaurants, pubs, hotels and it's a very popular place.
"People come for walks, it's dog friendly, and there's plenty of places to stop for a cup of coffee. Everything about the place is beautiful.
"When people come here, they get such a shock when they find out what it's really like. It's an unseen treasure, not many people have known about it, but it is starting to get recognised.
"The seafront has been massively developed, the city centre has changed dramatically, there's Keel Square, new hotels, new high-end pubs and restaurants - the whole city is taking off."
