Waves was created by owner Abbe Oxenham, a local businesswoman who previously ran "Abbe's Bakes." It opened its doors in 2024, transforming the former Cole's site into a modern, artisan café. Abbe combines 12 years of barista experience with her patisserie training from Sunderland College.
