The Cooper Rose

Reasonably priced food and drink and a large dancefloor in the middle of the ground floor ensures that The Cooper Rose is one of the busiest late bars/clubs in Sunderland. A quieter bar area is located upstairs for those who want to catch up with friends or for those who want to watch those dancing on the dancefloor below. The DJ plays a mixture of dance and pop music creating a lively atmosphere.

The Engine Room at The Fire Station

Positioned in Sunderland's Cultural quarter, The Engine Room at The Fire Station was recently converted from the city's former fire station. The bar and bistro serve a delicious selection of food and drinks in a quirky setting displaying much of the original paraphernalia from the original working station.

The Ivy House

Selling a range of cask ales and craft beers as well as unusual spirits. Popular with locals and students alike, this Victorian Ale House is a great place to catch up with friends on a chilled night out!
