Summer Events

As the Women's Rugby World Cup gets closer and the excitement in the city builds we'll be popping up across the summer with rugby inspired activities and events to allow everyone to have a go, get involved and some fun!

parkrun

Active Sunderland and Vigor Rugby will be bringing a new and exciting Strive'25 rugby session to Sunderland's three parkrun sites. Once you have crossed the finish line and caught your breath, come along and join us to see what Strive'25 is all about - fun, friendship & fitness.

We'll be at parkrun sites on the following dates:

26th July - Fulwell Quarry parkrun

2nd August - Silksworth parkrun

9th August - Herrington Country Park parkrun

Summer Colour Runs

Active Sunderland and Vigor Rugby will be supporting Together For Children's Summer in the City colour runs.
Come and join us and get involved in an exciting Strive'25 rugby inspired session at the same time.

All sessions will be from 11am-3pm.

Wednesday 30th July - Hetton Lyons Country Park (near Springboard building)

Wednesday 6th August - Princess Anne Park (near to Washington Leisure Centre)

Wednesday 13th August - Thorney Close (outside of family hub)

Wednesday 20th August - Redhouse Field (opposite St Cuthbert's Church)

Wednesday 27th August - Lambton Street field (next to hub)

Wednesday 3rd September - Town Moor

You do not need to book these sessions just turn up and register on the day.
