SUNDERLAND AIRSHOW IS POSTPONED UNTIL 2022
Sunderland Airshow is an annual action-packed event which takes place in the city of Sunderland, to display aircraft of all shapes and sizes.
Sunderland International Airshow has been a staple event in Sunderland for over 30 years, taking place each year during the summer. Attended by thousands of locals and visitors from across the UK and beyond (and sometimes virtually!) Sunderland Airshow sees an action packed display programme that showcases aircraft and flying programmes from the county's finest pilots.
Past shows have seen sky-scraping performances from the RAF Falcons, Royal Navy Black Cats, Royal Navy Search and Rescue, The Blades Gerald Cooper, Norwegian MiG 15, Patrouille Reva, OV-10 Bronco and Curtis P40 Warhawk and P51 Mustang.
The show involves specialist aircraft swirling and twirling through the air at dizzying heights, wowing the crowds.
As one of the largest free family events in the UK, Sunderland Airshow is complemented by fantastic ground displays, as well as children's activities, live music, fairground rides and fireworks. The route taken, also enables the airshow to be seen from all across the city.
The Sunderland Airshow will return in 2022, and full programme information and further details can be found on the official website.
